Mini-Haul

Hello kind readers!

So I have been quite busy and stressing with some stuff but I wanted to give you a little haul with some recent purchases!

I got this EOS lip balm in mint... it's pretty awesome! And tastes good too. I also got this thing from the beauty store for my chignon buns. I was previously using a made at home version of this but it was black, I wanted one to match my hair better.

I found these two cardigans and two belts at a thrift store in Bakersfield when I went last weekend. I would like to add something like spikes or studs to the black one and I would like a darker and full sleeve length cardi like the green one-so I might give this one to my mom. I got the white skinny belt and nude medium size belt for waist belts from the thrift store, but the green one was on clearance at Target.

These two dresses I found in the clearance section at Target when I was with my mom and she was so sweet and told me she would get them for me as my Valentine's gift! =) (The burgandy one looks better on)

This adorable cardigan was given to me by a very generous family member when she found out how much I LOVED it!

These cutesy socks, tights, bracelet, and earring set I got from Forever21 one day while trying to kill time. Ugh it was not easy to leave with only this! The off-white lacy tights are to put on top of other colors of tights that "R" told me her sister did and look so cute!

Lastly I found these almost nude ... "Stone" colored combat boots with floral lining that were on sale at Payless. I love a good combat boot and have worn my black ones out! For some reason I just thought these would be so cute with skirts and really feminine outfits to give it a tiny bit of edge. As you do. =)

Thanks so much for reading and for all of your lovely comments! <3

Feb. Haul!!

Hello Dolls! This is going to be a picture heavy post for me. I got some really awesome things recently that I am dying to share with you! =)

So I mentioned I went to a few stores with Josie last weekend, and now I will show you what items I picked up! First though, I went to a Veg Fest with my mom and her boyfriend in the morning and tried out some vegan foods and stopped in a little store next door that sold lots of home-made items and items made by kids and teens as like an after school program. I got the sticker from the Veg Fest and the two bracelets from the store next door. The lady said that the girl that made the bracelets will be so happy that someone got the bracelets she made, and that made me smile.

Also before I went out shopping, when Josie got to my place, she gave me an awesome (super early) Birthday present! I was and am stoked! This animal print high-low skirt. SOOO cute, right? I love it!

So first we stopped at Kohl's and didn't find anything except the crazy stalker lady that works there and follows me everywhere thinking I am going to steal something. So we left and went to Marshall's I found a couple cute tops that I eventually put back. But when I found this sweater, I instantly loved it! And Josie was like noooooooo lol cause she knows I should stop buying winter clothing. But I couldn't help it, it is super warm and so lovely!

I also got the shorts and some earbuds because I manage to break every pair I have. Also these are the sunnies from Ebay. I thought they would be bigger, maybe it's my chubby face that makes them look small but whatever, they're still cute.

Next, we went to Target where I found these amazing cheetah jeans! I have been wanting some just like this and felt that it was "meant to be" when I saw these there... you know like the glowing light all around them. I HAD to! (And they look a lot better on)

And lastly, we went to dd's!!

Burnout short-sleeve hoodie, lace and floral racerback, black legging pants, black over-sized top (Josie hated it and said I looked like a bird. LOL), and black baby doll dress with light pink bows all over. Josie found this one for me and I just LOVE it! (And only 5.99!)

I would also like to share with you a few online purchases =)

So I made my GoJane.com order and it literally came two days after I ordered it! I don't remember how long the last orders took but this one was lightning fast!

LOL okay so here is my picture of them... (idk wtf is wrong with the lighting and why it made them come out such the wrong color!)

And here is the site's picture of them which is more accurate.

basic skinny leggings

And my flag faux Lita's!!!!!!!! I LOVE them! (Even my mom said they look good on and she is not feeling the whole flag rep'n) ....They are more blue in person too.

And here is a couple make-up products I got from Ebay. Since I couldn't get the Rimmel London Spice lip liner in the store, I opted for Ebay. This seller told me I could get two more items if I wanted to and she would package them all together so I wouldn't have to pay for extra shipping. So I got this body glow glitter and a teal eye pencil.

So then I went to Forever21 this week because I was just itching to see if I could find some of the things I was loving online in the actual store. I got four items, all reasonably priced.

A flag top, which was actually one of the things I wanted from the site, navy velveteen stretchy skirt from Sale section (9.99), feather sparkle earrings, and... omg leopard mary jane pumps!! Idk why but the coloring seems to come out better when I just use the flash while in the dark instead of just in the light pictures. Left is natural lights and right is flash in the dark.

Let me just say that my mom is awesome. She found this Carlton shirt for me in one of the buy and sell stores she went to... not even knowing that when it was originally being sold in Target I super wanted it but they ran out in an appropriate size for me (since it's a men's shirt). It's really more of a greenish yellow and I was laughing so hard while taking the picture because my camera thought it was an actual face and was trying to focus around it. LOL

And lastly, I did my my own nails a leopard print and thought I would show them.

Thank you guys so much for viewing and the super sweet comments! <3

Oh, just a couple of awards...

Hi everyone!!

So I was extremely happy to see/hear that I have been nominated for a couple of blog awards from other lovely bloggers!

First I was nominated for a Liebster Blog award.

I researched it a little and here are a few tidbits that I found about it.

This award was originated in Germany and is for blogs with fewer than two hundred followers. It is for bloggers that work hard and enjoy blogging with the world but have not yet been discovered.

And here are the rules:

1. Thank the giver and link back to the blogger who gave it to you.
2. Reveal your top 5 picks and let them know by leaving a comment on their blog.
3. Copy and paste the award on your blog.
4. Have faith that your followers will spread the love to other bloggers.
5. And most of all - have fun!

I would like to thank Lisa H. from The Lovely Memoir for nominating me, I really appreciate the acknowledgement! =)

And the 5 blogs that I would like to nominate are the following:

1. 8bitgrayscale - A fun blog about fashion and clothes and her life! Many of you may already know her. She's pretty good with a blog. =)
2. Do It My Way, Or Else (Teenah's Projects) - A DIY and more blog that has a funny wit about it and amazing quilts! Also a precious pup makes her way into many of the posts! =)
3. Heinz 57 - A blog about cooking, crafts, and life. You never know what you will find but you are almost always guaranteed a smile and/or laugh.
4. Jazzyfink - A lovely fashion blog with great style! Creative outfit posts and super sweet host!
5. Thrifted Shift - A new fashion blog with great outfit posts that let you know the approximate current cost per wear for the items she wears.

The second blog award I was nominated for is the One Lovely Blogger Award!

Thank you so much Josie!! I SO Appreciate it! =)

As far as I can tell from this award, it is similar to the above award in that you nominate other blogs, however you also include 7 facts about yourself others may or may not know.

7 random facts about me:

1. Watching Julie And Julia made me want to start blogging. (However I did not actually start until much later and after obsessing over Beauty Crush's blog.)
2. I love hip hop music and am a die hard Rihanna fan.
3. I went to Costa Rica during Spring Break of my senior year in high school with a few other students and teachers.
4. I went to school to pursue fashion but got a full time job and had to stop - I plan to continue at some point though.
5. I am incredibly shy, it is ridiculous!
6. My style is all over the place. It can be hippie one day, tomboy the next, classic Audrey Hepburn-inspired the next, 80s New Wave-inspired the next, and dark and edgy the next. You really never know with me-heck I don't even know with me!
7. I LOVE tattoos but currently have 0. =(

And the blogs I would like to nominate for this One Lovely Blog Award are the following:
